This post may offend some, but in our current world situation, we need more than ever to be bringing forward words of encouragement and raising the vibration of others and ourselves. So my question is simply this:
Is it asking too much for you to take a break from blaming others for the current crisis and focus instead on sharing love, light, and support?
Those who know me well are aware that I have friends and connections with people from many different perspectives. What has brought me to this post is that in a time when we need to hold each other up, some continue to allow their opinion and in some cases hatred of others to fill their social posts and other communications. For the record, any post that isn’t adding positivity or love, I hide without reading. I don’t believe now is the time to be sharing hate or blame. Some have such deep hatred for the current US Administration that they can’t help but post vile and sometimes vulgar comments. Some on the other side are equally to blame and use some of the very same language. Is it too much to ask that you consider taking a break? More important, maybe save such opinion for the ballet box in November?
I’m not a fan of the current Administration but haven’t been a fan of any Administration for decades. I find too many politicians are only interested in themselves and their own power. Any objective observer would conclude that people on both sides of the “political aisle” are guilty. That said, I believe we all need to come together in this time and support each other and the heart-felt efforts of many who are working tirelessly to restore health and vitality to individuals and communities. Spreading hate or asserting blame is only adding negative energy into a situation that is already difficult. And if you think for a moment your words don’t really matter, then you don’t truly recognize how our Universe works. For every negative or hateful post you make, you only add to the challenge, not help or heal it.
I also find it disappointing that so many on both sides find it easy to criticize the actions of others from the comfort and safety of their homes. Those in government are working on our behalf to bring this crisis to a conclusion and guide communities back into health and personal well-being. It may be easy to sit back and accuse others of being incompetent or having ulterior motives, but if you believe yourself that much better or smarter, then perhaps you should run for office or volunteer in your local community in response to the pandemic. Have some empathy for others in this time and realize being a Monday morning quarterback requires no courage and carries no risk. It’s easy to second-guess others when you have the benefit of exploiting their mistakes.
There will be time after the situation improves to reflect on what could be done differently in the future and we should all do that at an individual, community, national, and global level. For now, is it too much to ask that we all focus our light, love, and prayers for officials, doctors, nurses, scientists, and so many others at all levels and from all perspectives to work together to overcome the challenges we face? And is it too much to ask that you consider leaving your hateful and spiteful commentary to yourself for a while and make your opinion heard in November when you choose to vote? Let’s focus on love, healing, and raising the vibration so that when we come through this, we find we created a more supportive and healthy world for everyone.
